What Ensembles are offered at Etowah High School?

Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is for students who are showing mastery of their instrument and musical concepts needed for difficult high school music literature. This ensemble is for students who demonstrate this level of skill in a placement audition each spring. This is the top ensemble at Etowah High School and performs at the highest level. This ensemble meets every day during the curricular day.

Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is designed for students with intermediate to advanced musicianship skills and uses those skills to perform level appropriate literature. This ensemble is for students continuing to work to improve their skills and pushes towards mastery. This ensemble meets every day during the curricular day.

Concert Band

Concert Band is designed for students with beginner to intermediate musicianship skills and uses those skills to perform level appropriate literature. This ensemble is for students beginning and continuing to work to improve their skills. This ensemble meets every day during the curricular day.

Orchestra

Orchestra is open to a wide range of students interested in string instruments. Included instruments are violin, violal, cello, and string bass. Students who are beginners should reach out to Mr. Long before enrolling in the orchestra program. Students who have been involved in an orchestra program at Etowah or another school are welcome to join. The ensemble meets each day during school and performs multiple times per year.
