Etowah Eagle Band Volunteers

Get involved as a volunteer!

Volunteering with the band offers opportunities for parents to share experiences with their students and get to know other parents in our community. We work hard, but it feels like fun and is a great way to see your student in action from behind the scenes. If we all pitch in a little we can accomplish a lot. It takes a village to make our program a success!

Families are expected to help out by logging 20 hours throughout the year. You can always sign up for more!

Below are sign-ups and descriptions of volunteer opportunities for you as a parent to get involved in our program. Feel free to contact our First VP for more details.

All volunteers must fill out the CCSD Volunteer/Mentor Application each year and return it to Mr. Long. All forms needed to volunteer are listed at the bottom of this page.

Thanks for signing up to volunteer! Competition days are really big days for our band program and we're so glad you're here. It's important that parent volunteers have some time to rest and recharge through out the long day. To help with that, our Hospitality Committee is hosting a tailgate on competition day! This week's tailgate theme is SANDWICHES & SALADS Please consider signing-up to bring one or two of the items below. Keep in mind there will be ~35 staff and scheduled parent volunteers that day. It's a long day (the students march twice on this day), and you may eat a little here and a little there without a true scheduled break time. We'll have generators to help power crock pots and coolers to help keep things cool. Items should be dropped off that morning in the band room for coordinated transport to the event site. If you have any questions at all please contact EHS Band President at: president@ehseagleband.org
Customize Sign Up Description The Etowah High School Marching Eagles are excited to host the CCSD Marching Exhibition for the first time in six years! This is a special opportunity for our program and our community, and we want to make sure we are ready to welcome visiting bands, families, and guests to Etowah. An event of this size takes a dedicated team of volunteers, and we are asking our Marching Eagles families and supporters to help make the evening a success. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available, including admissions, concessions, hospitality, parking, event support, set-up, and clean-up. Whether you are able to help for a few hours or throughout the event, your time and support are greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting our students as they prepare to take the field. We are looking forward to a great evening of music, tradition, and community. Thank you for being part of the team! Please email any questions to: Kathy Sanders, President: president@ehseagleband.org Chelli Brown, 1st VP: firstvp@ehseagleband.org
2026 Legacy of Champions at Carrollton High School TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR VOLUNTEERS Location: Carrollton High School 201 Trojan Drive, Carrollton, GA 30117 Please join us as the Etowah High School Marching Eagle Band heads to Carrollton High School! Competition days are really important days! The students have worked really hard and are ready to perform for judges and their peer community. Band Parent community involvement and support is critical to their success, and our Parent Volunteers are the best! Please read the description for the role you're signing up for to be sure you understand your commitment. The day is long but so worth it, and we're glad you're here! IMPORTANT: To volunteer for a competition, you must volunteer for a current season football game first. Experienced volunteers are critical to our success on the road. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow time for check-in, so you can be ready to start at your assigned time. Please wear your volunteer shirt for your specific role (these will be available in late August). It is strongly recommended you wear comfortable closed-toed shoes and consider packing a small string bag for your belongings. You'll want, at the least, your cell phone, a water bottle, and a snack or money for concessions. We won't be home much before midnight -- maybe later. TAILGATE! Once you're signed up to volunteer for the competition, you'll be contacted with details on our Etowah Band Parent Tailgate plans. We've got to keep the band parents fed, too, and here at Etowah we do that in style! All required volunteer paperwork and training must be completed prior to this event. If you have any questions at all please contact EHS President (Kathy Sanders) at: president@ehseagleband.org
